I've rented it from Lovefilm and had it sat waiting to watch since last week. Must spend less of my leisure time cleaning up the galaxy :)

Just finished watching this. All very silly, but good fun and I enjoyed it. The CGI was better than I expected.

Edit: should add for those who haven't seen it yet, watch the version in Norweigan with subtitles. The American overdubs are truly terrible (though worth switching on if you want a giggle).

I found it hard to take entirely seriously and I get the impression the cast / director did too. There was an element of tongue in cheek about it and some definite attempts to satirise the genre. This wasn't overt, it was subtly bubbling underneath throughout I felt.

That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, in fact I thought it was wonderful. Well acted and the filming style was convincing. And the trolls of course were fabulous and actually all the better for being used sparingly.

Ok, I'll stop frowning at you now, I do gte what you are saying though, the billy goat and the bridge was epic imo :)
