it does sound allot like wow from a quick google search of reviews and first impressions. Isn't this the same old problem that I've been banging on about for a while though? There really is no new thinking, wow has starved it all from the market by being so damn successful :/ As cern said 'in defining the genre wow also killed it' which i thought aptly summed it all up for me.

I agree but I am now thinking we are on the cusp of new projects.  How many WoW clones have been released now?  They have all failed to take even 10% of the gamers WoW has because WoW is the best at what it does.

I think backers will start looking at new ideas again but it'll still take 5 years before we start seeing big budget mmorpgs (2014!!) 

Of all the game recently released I think WAR could have been the closest to the crown if they hadn't fucked it up ...

I might go back to WoW tbh, there really isn't much else worth playing, I liked the sound of Wurm online but it is a lttle hard core for me.
