Its a tool some shadowpriest guy uses to look at priest dps and the best builds, but he also did it for mages and locks. It gets quite complex though, but might shed some new light on specs (or maybe just confirm what you already know). The first link takes you to his dps tests where he simulates different builds and gear (note that he changes gear so you can compare how it scales, and also he does some theory ones that aren't possible (if things were buffed or how a build was before nerf these are either in red or orange, the possible ones are in green)). The first set of dps results also invludes stuff like flasks etc, so scroll down for his lesser geared/consumable'd up tests. The second link above takes you to his assumptions about warlocks.

Although I can look at it at work, I cant really spend the time checking it out to see what it all means, but I'll have a look later.  

On a side note I wont be about tonight, which is annoying cos I want items from the first bosses in Kara, but hey, thats the way it goes.
