nothing yet :) I wanted to get this one right so have been through multiple versions over many weeks. The piano was the struggle with this one but mostly because I'm not used to it (I'm a guitarist as you know) so making it sound good was a real problem, I think I've got there(ish) though some feedback I've had is that its a bit too dry still (reverb is hard to judge, too much and it just sound shit) but hopefully I have a balance now and learnt allot about mixing a new instrument :)

I have lots of half finished ideas already for new tracks (as i bet you do!) but need to pick one to take to the next level, will work on it though it's likely to be dnb also :)

I like it, it is mellow and pleasant, the piano parts are defo the most interesting/ best parts, the rest flows very nicely.  I think it is very good lounge music, if you wanna pep it up then you need something in it which draws the attention back to the track, something you steadily build towards and then you hit th high and then drop back down into easy listening.  Anyway, that's how I enjoy my music; shows my hard house and uplifting house routes, build, build, build BANG!  Crowd goes wild! :)

I am sure you could manage that but slightly more subtly!

Nice track though, listened to it a few times :)

Sax.

Cheers Sax. And yeah that's all intended about the mellow/pleasant/chill-out stuff. In the 90's I was also into lots of house, never really felt d&b but nowadays I'm really liking the liquid stuff which combines elements from other genres (including house which is why I can get away with the piano). Cheers for the comments and will keep in mind for the future, but it's definitely done though - I've spent too long on it and need to move on to something else now (otherwise I feel I could tweak forever!).

Thx for listening :)

This may be spam, but if you're interested in some mellowish/chillout/liquid d&b I am especially proud of this one (especially the intro). It is a remix (of another aspiring producers tune), so basic idea of the song wasn't mine, but there is enough in it that i added or changed :)(especially the intro, which i think is v cool :Dhttps://soundcloud.com/lasiien/empty-vessel-lasiien-remix

Impressive work. Listened to your remix and then the original and I like the extra punch and urgency you bring to the remix. I'm not a fan of the analog static in either version - although I grew up listening to scratchy vinyl I've no nostalgia for it :) But that's a personal preference, otherwise it's fantastic work and I can hear a real progression in your technique.
