Sounds smart... I still like CTF even though it's old. Hell I still enjoy vanilla DM ;)

I dread to think how underpowered we'll be with our equip though. And does everyone have six anti-fear trinkets so I'll be stuffed defensively? ;)

Believe rogues have been changed alot and Grim will have had her spec points reset. Which will be fun trying to remember what the fook they were! I can't even remember my spec now :) Fair bit shadow, not much holy, some of the, er, other one. Discipline? Heh. N00b again.

Sounds cool Sax. We never did a BG, left just as they were implemented, so looking forward to trying 'em out.

We're away later this week though, off up to the highlands for a long weekend, so prolly won't be on until next week sometime.

Heh...

"If I take it up and she doesn't then she will understand the need to play to improve your game."

I think that they should put this in the next version of the Oxford English Dictionary as the new definition of optimism ;)

But yeah, golf is terribly addictive. I played for a bit in New Zealand (strangely enough) and can see how people get hooked. Bloody hard to play well though! Or I should say, consistently well (or indeed consistently average ;) )

What's this cool pvp patch then? And how are you finding it back in-game, Las?

Hmm, don't like the sound of that much... I hate it when they balls up something as basic (and vital) as the camera view!

Will be picking my copy up soon, hopefully (have to see if I can get a free one first ;) )

Gah, I got 1 gig and a 6800 card (and AMD 3000)... which tbh runs most stuff fine, even on 1280x1024 (though with the details often turned down ;) )

Should be interesting to see how it is on mine then :/

Erk :(

Sounds like Gothic 3 on my machine... I'll prolly be getting it (hopefully reviewing it) in the next couple of weeks, so just hope it isn't the same.

With Gothic it just seems it doesn't get on with some peeps machines, I updated the graphics drivers etc like you, even at 800X600 there's some (far too much) jerkiness.

Heh, I remember stranglethorn.. I think we spent one evening there and when we'd got that 1st batch of quests finished, never, ever went back ;)

Yeah, we'll come back for a bit of a look if everyone else is (and it looks that way :) )

Re: BF2142 ads, I know what you mean, dangerous precedent and all that.... but there's no way they could do it with an RPG though (well, maybe a sci-fi one but certainly not warhammer, it would completely fook the immersion).

Maybe some ads for plat farmers though ;)

Rofl sax...  all I want to know is, when you play a fighter, do you sit at the back of the party gesturing and incanting? ;)

Hi Brigh... and hi all. We'd come back to wow if everyone else was, I reckon. Grim/Hel is currently bored and pining for a game to play at any rate ;)

Just installing BF 2142 now Las... in game adverts, wtf? Yack. Not sure how it'll run on my machine anyway.

Yeah, think you may be right, Sax, on the funding score, it's not a big dev team is it?

Never played Total War series, but I may break that habit with Med 2 :)

Yep, that's true enough.

Been playing Gothic 3 this week and even with the release patch, it's buggy and suffers from some pretty bad frame rate judder... the graphics aren't as good as Oblivion either, which ran fine on my machine on medium details.

The thing about Gothic was they put the release date back for that, too, in order to "perfect" it... (more like in order to make sure it was at least semi-playable ;) )
