Title: Champions League
Post by: xann on March 31, 2010, 03:00:13 pm
Lets all laugh at Man U, only a sprained ankle, shame his foot didn't snap off

C'mon Arsenal tonight, i think they'll beat Barca over the 2

Jose Mourinho to win it with Inter, then return to the Premership...

Also, Chelsea for the Prem title, Liverpool 4th place

Arsenal for CL and Premiership double! Ok, so I'm greedy, but we're due a bit of success.

good game, all to play for. That red card could be crucial, they'll miss Puyol

Almunia was possessed for the first 20

Dunno how the Gunners survived the first 20 mins, other than some amazing goalkeeping of course. The two goals conceded were soft but the fightback was brave, though losing Fabregas potentially for the rest of the season is huge. I don't have much hope that they can pull it off in the Nou Camp but as last night showed, anything can happen.

what a game ! :) Shame about Fabregas and dunno why he insisted on hobbling around (was quite clear he was going to be of no use), but still an amazing game to watch.

To be honest think Arsenal were very lucky to come away 2-2, really should have been such a rout from that first half of Barca ! :)

Leeds have lost their last 4 in a row, from 7 points clear at the top too 6 points off the bottom of the Play off places... 7 Games left

Desperate times call for desperate measures, i need to find a worthy sacrifice to appease the Gods of Football

incredible goal yeah, nani's goals were pretty nice also. Looks like no stopping barca though, I didn't see the second leg but the reports suggested they made Arsenal look very ordinary !

Saw the Barca-Arsenal highlights last night. Messi's goals were fabulous. Two could have been prevented by better defending / goalkeeping, but two were unstoppable. Barca are currently playing on a different level and whilst Arsenal are understrength at the moment due to injuries I think Barca would have still beaten a full strength side (and probably any other team put in front of them in that form).

Well Done Arsenal, wonder if they can hold out at the Nou Camp.

I thought they were gonna get stomped tbh... thats Football for ya

Really enjoyed the match last night, thought Barca were going to walk it but good on Arsenal for getting those goals.

I can't help but think it will be a different story at the Nou Camp

Brigh :D

Nou Camp will be a whole different story, look what happened last time. But if Arsenal push Barca again like they did in the 2nd half they now know they can unsettle them. For now Arsenal can be proud they've beaten a team containing most of the Spanish world cup winning squad + Messi.

It was a good game, enjoyed it. Don't think Arsenal deserved the win (at times they looked like schoolboys - Barca were that good!). But I'm glad they did, especially once Barca did seem to go into Cruise control. Looking forward to the 2nd leg !
