Well I don't often toot my own horn, but thought I would on this occasion. As some of you may know, part of what I do is digital art and I've been working on a big fantasy themed digital painting for some time now (for far too long in fact). Well I finally finished it, so thought I would post it up here for you to see. This is a reduced size version, the actual fullsize version is much much larger. I'm going to post some closeups on my web site soon. It was all 'hand painted' on a graphics tablet using Corel Painter. Can really see the detail on those, fantastic ! :) I really like the smoke from the camp fire, bet that took some doing to blend it with everything else.

Any significance to the owl or is he just having a bit of a chill ? :)

Strangely the campfire smoke was a first take. I then spent a whole day trying to improve on it and couldn't. Lesson learned :)

The owl is just observing. I wanted to have more critters in the scene observing too but decided they probably wouldn't add much and the time to move on from this image had come.
