Title: Chat Channel

Hello

Just a thought, is it worth us setting up a chat channel called ex-ravens so we can all talk to each other as we are all friends (well I hope you count me as one)?

We did something similar when we did a guild merge on my alliance char and it helped to be able to chat without having loads of seperate conversations going.

Sounds like a good idea. Is such a channel persistant between login sessions?

Iirc we did this before we actually made RoD, and I think it is persistant.

Yes it should be - the one we had on my alliance char just joined you as soon as you logged on. Dunno how it was made though - I think someone just creates the channel and gives it a name - ours was called DTchat and you just join that channel - don't think it was password protected but I imagine you could if you wanted to.

Whoever logs in first can set it up to RoD channel, not hard to remember and it bears significance.

Sounds good - perhaps RODChat might be easier - would stop anyone accidently from joining it.

I'll be on tonight but got to go shopping after work for some much needed food!

p.s. going to ask Blizzard to change my char name to Tiger Woods as I rocked last night at golf! :P

i think iirc if you join a channel it will auto join you everytime you login. Therefore it's not really persistent but the first person to login will autopmatically create it anyway. In PO there were a number of channels like this for priests, healers etc and i always auto joined.

RODChat sounds good.

How did you get on with the hole where you have to putt up the ramp into the little lighthouse and through the door, then the ball runs down a spiral ramp into the hole? :D

lol - there wasn't anything crazy about my golf swing - I hit the majority of balls with the club 1st time which I was most impressed by - now I have sorted hitting then thing I just need to work on what direction it goes :D
